Projects built or funded by the federal government, such as highway projects, or non-federal projects subject to federal permits, such as wetlands dredge and fill permits, require review under the National Environmental Policy Act and may require preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). We help clients push for agency compliance with these requirements and review draft agency Environmental Assessments and EISs. We coordinate written comments and citizen participation in the agency process. When necessary, we challenge inadequate environmental reviews in federal courts.
