Nita was born and raised in Morristown, Tennessee. She has three children and four grandchildren. She began her legal career working with Attorney, J. Brice Wisecarver, Jefferson City, Tennessee, from 1971 through 1991, as a legal secretary assisting with the defense of cases involving personal injury and condemnation; as well as working on real estate matters and probate.
In 1990, Nita attended Knoxville Paralegal School, and soon after, began working as a defense paralegal with London & Amburn, PC in Knoxville, Tennessee, through February 2008, on complex medical malpractice, nursing home liability and products liability cases, including preparing for depositions, trial preparation and attendance at trial. In March 2008, she began working with Gary Davis and Associates in Hot Springs, North Carolina, on environmental cases, which included meeting with clients, assisting with trial preparation, and attendance at trial.
In 2012, she returned to Knoxville, and began with working with Butler, Vines and Babb, PLLC, as a paralegal on plaintiff medical malpractice cases, and assisting with all intake calls. Nita retired from BVB in 2019 and in May of 2019, she began working with Greg Coleman Law, now Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips and Grossman PLLC, where she continued to assist attorneys and clients on medical malpractice cases, and mass tort cases. She recently left Milberg in March 2024, and she now again works on environmental cases with Gary Davis at Davis, Johnston, & Ringger, PC.
Nita enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, motorcycle rides and Tennessee football!
